Hi. My dad has Factor V Leiden. He had a total hip replacement and just learned, 8 weeks post op, that the bone is not attaching to the new hip. Is this common for Factor V patients?
Thanks!

Hello.
Does you dad have a diagnosis of APS/Hughes Syndrome? As this is a forum for patients who have that condition, rather that a general medical forum and you may have landed here in error.

Which specialist would check for the Avascular Necrosis? I have a hematologist, a rheumatologist and a cardiologist. What a mess! I have both APS and FVL so I guess I won the lottery for blood clotting!
I had anew hip and a new knee. I have factor v Leiden. I had no problem at all.
I have APS, Factor V Leiden, Factor VIII, Activated Protein C, Hyperhomocysteinemia, and Mixed Hyperlipidemia. It's not the end of the world...
