Many thanks Mary for this posting. This is about reducing the risks of a DVT while taking contraceptives.

Often GP's do not even ask the family history, I know years ago mine did not! MaryF

Thanks Mary,

It was the cocp that caused my daughter to have pulmonary embolisms, Twice, first set undiagnosed by hospital!!! then was allowed to go back on them a year later when the same thing happened!! Luckily we took her to a different hospital this time,Coventry Hospital where they found the PE's and diagnosed APS.

How shocking, and I am pleased she has a diagnosis now, I was put on it and had the worst migraine ever, and was hospitalised as I could not see properly, it was actually myself who decided it must have been the contraceptive pill I had been taking for 5 weeks. I stopped taking them! MaryF.
