Sat here in hospital waiting for inr result as yesterday's one of 1.7 is to risky to operate........ Everyone else in the ward has been done and is drinking tea and biscuits...... Apparently inr needs to be under 1.

This warfarin and antiphospholipid syndrome milarky is a nightmare. My inr was 5 last week and 4..7 Monday followed protocol to the letter what a waste of time effort money and worry

Is anything ever going to get better?

I'm not sure I understand your post.

Are you bridging from warfarin? For my surgery and my tooth extraction I bridged from the long half life warfarin to short life injectible. I came off warfarin, gave myself some shots twice a day, then missed a shot and since the effective time range of the injectible is only hours, by surgery time I was back to normal sludge blood. Then after an uneventful surgery, back to shots and warfarin until the warfarin was back to therapeutic INR.

By following this procedure you decrease the time your blood is sludgy, but also ensure the surgeon doesn't deal with scary bleeds.
