Hi has amy one had dental extraction whilst on rivaloxaban ?? . Hot to have a tooth out and font know how to bridge on this medication

Hi I think there are a few on here who have had similar, I am sure they will respond. In the mean time do give your main consultant a ring, as they need to sort out all arrangements for you around medication, and are best placed to answer you. MaryF

Had this done a little while ago. Haematologist advice is to stop Rivaroxaban 24 hours before and recommence after 12 hours. While I did have a bit of oozing for about 5 hours that gradually dried up (dentist said "normal" people might ooze for up to 3 hours) I had no other problems. Just need to time your appointment to fit in roughly around the times. Also stopped my aspirin for these times as well.

Hi there - ive had two teeth out whilst on rivaroxaban. I didn't need to stop my medication at all and I had no bleeding afterwards!
