Hello everyone. I haven't posted anything lately but I am on every day. Just wondering if anyone else has black circles under your eyes. I am only on a baby aspirin a day for positive LA but also a quite a bit of other meds for my lupus. Thankyou

Yes I do. I don't use foundation on my face so can't disguise them.I am on warfarin for APS and other meds n pain killers for RA+Fibromyalgia. These diseases have aged me.before I was always complemented how young I looked but now people are apologising thinking I am retirement age n more.I use No.7 overnight revitalising eye balm.can't see it helps much.maybe others know more

Hi usually this is harmless, I should imagine quite a few of us have them! MaryF

I have always had dark circles under my eyes but more as I have got older, now 51! But I am allergic to our dog and also in winter with windows closed and heating on it is far worse. So I have always put mine down to my allergies. I am much better in the summer months. It can also be lack of iron which again I am sometimes anemic.

I guess you could get your iron levels checked just in case.

Yes, I do. I also suffer badly with SLE with both my kidneys and liver affected, so that could also be a factor. I don't get any quality sleep which doesn't help. My consultant is Professor Hughes himself and he did once tell me that dark under eyes are common when on any blood thinner though. I use coconut oil on my eyelids and area (mainly for dry eyes caused by Sjogren's) but there's a school of thought that thinks it's beneficial for the dark circles also. Hope you find a solution soon!

Hi noticed dark circles under my eyes too.

On loads of meds that are ageing me fast , warfarin , , gabbapentin , tramadol , omeprozole, desulepin , paracetamol , atorvastatin , and now bisoprpol for heart failure , don't know if its thyroid related , left branch bundle blockage , left side of heart now giving 50% ejection fraction , at rest and under stress , so when stressed I go dizzy and heavy legs burning in arms ect if I do the sligtest thing .

Fybro

Heart

Thyroid

Arthritis

Don't know if they are all related but beginning to rattle with meds.

Sugar borderline too.

Vit d deficient

All buggered up .

Thank you for your comment. I just have the dark dark circles under my eyes not on my lips. Just wondering if it is from the methotrexate I take. I will chat with my GP about it. 😎
