Lupus confused?!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this even though my first positive for lup anticoagulant was 16 years ago. My baby was born full term at 2k! Due to my blood clotting. Since I have had 3 positives for lupus and lupus anticoagulant and 2 beg. V symptomatic last year ended up on steroids. Rheumatologist will only recognise the neg results! Seeing haematologist next week. V frustrating. Anyone with similar issues? Many thanks and wish all well.

  • Hi. Thanks so much for your message. I live in the Midlands about 25 miles south of Birmingham uk.

  • It is very very important that you get your GP on side and get one of our recommended specialists, a Rheumatologist if possible who can then refer you to a Haematologist. Best of luck. MaryF

  • Im struggling to understand why if you have had clots they would only be looking at negative blood tests? what do they attribute the blood clots to? Many women who have Hughes have a successful pregnancy. Sounds to me like you need to change your Dr to someone who actually understand our condition. Please hang on to your results and as has been said find one of our specialist who is more likely to be able to help you.
