It's also supposed to be very beneficial for people with auto immune conditions. Infact, there is supposedly a synergy when resveratrol is used with curcumin, for autoimmune diseases.

Hadn't heard that but know that circumin is supposedly anti inflammatory and someone I know who has had a bakers cyst for many years has seen it vanish after a month taking circumin.

Coincidence maybe.....

In 2002, when I got my first TIAs here in Stockholm and they detected all my antibodies and in high titres, the APS-Specialist (yes he was a specialist but he went to Canada afterwards to make more research about APS) he said to me (I was then 57) to drink one glass of red wine for dinner every day.

I have done that ever since. In fact, I have only taken 1 glass, which is of course very important. I have been very strict on that and I never drink other alcohol or beer.

Tomorrow I will see my Rheumatologist and I will ask her if she thinks it could be OK to try curcumin also.

I do not take supplements. Only Calcium and Vit D on that doctors order.

Interesting. I have only found it to be useful in the past.

Can I ask. Have you been diagnosed with APS?

Yes, APS secondary to SLE. There are risks but I know people who take curcumin with these risks.

I was seeing my Rheumatologist today and asked about curcumin together with my redwine.

She had heard of it but I think she did not know about it and the effects.

I will not try it. I stick to my red wine.

I have never liked to try things if you do not need them and if you do not know the reaction.

APsnotFab talked about Cinnamon and Tea. That I have tried several times though. Tastes wonderful. I am not overweight at all but it is said it can lower your weight also.
