What causes the cognitive issues in APS?

I've read sticky blood can be the cause, lowering oxygen delivery to the brain. Alternatively I've read about white matter lessions on the brain. How common are the brain lessions? Is this normal in APS?

I have a few lesions but since I have been anticoagulated they have not worsened, as shown on MRIs over several years.

Do you mind me asking what cognitive issues you had that were related to the brain lesions? Was it just foggy mindedness?
