Dr not doing aps blood tests ?
Well most GP's will do these tests, as long as they are done early in the day so as not to hang about before a late collection. Or you can take the forms for the tests along to the local hospital and get them done there. I have no idea why your GP would say this. However maybe the appointment with Rheumatologist is soon. The blood tests which need doing are listed on the Hughes Syndrome Foundation charity website, let me know if you can't find them. MaryF
So glad to read that this site has helped you to understand you APS! That is why we are here. Hope you will stay here.
Good book about APS: "Sticky Blood Explained" by Kay Thackray. She has the illness herself and describes the symptoms and how it it so live with this illness. That book I have in pocket and it is very good and informative also for relatives.

Many thanks for information and advice
I'm here in the States, where each private insurance company has their own protocols. But my children's pediatrician ran cardiolipin antibody tests on both of my kids the same month I was diagnosed. One was positive, one negative. As the doctor said, "It doesn't mean she has the disease, but this positive blood work might help alert both your daughter and her provider in the future, as to a possibility should symptoms begin."
Hooray! A proactive doctor! Don't we all wish she was in GP -- and was our GP?
A hematologist is a good step also -- but the the Rheumy is the dc most deal with after the Dia.
