Has anyone heard from our " TASCH "????????????????????
From time to time via social network! I can pass on a message if you like MaryF
She's doing very well Jet - just busy in the real world She held her annual ceidilh for Kevin her kidney (he was donated by her dad seven years ago) and raised £3K for our charity last November, AND we had a meeting with Tasch and her aunt, who is a TV broadcaster/personality here in the UK, at the beginning of the year and she is now working on a media campaign for APS/Hughes We have our trustees' meeting tomorrow evening and she's coming along to give an update, so it's all very exciting
Hi Jet - so sorry i went AWOL... I'm around and busy - so no change there then! How are you more importantly?

A thousand thanks to all and so pleased to hear you are well- wish I could take part in the up coming meetings but it's a long swim for me and the pond is cold !!!! stay in touch my friend as you are a huge inspiration to us all.. Thanks for the reply and hopes to hear how you are doing in the future ---- you buddy Jet
Hi Jet
So lovely to hear from you. I felt a bit strange last time on the site; I feel that I am doing better than many people and that some may feel that I'm rubbing it in or that I don't understand how awful they feel.... So i guess I wussed out a bit and slipped off the radar! Sorry!
My world is crazy busy at the moment, which is the way I like it. I have a fabulous opportunity with my career and one of the key things that I negotiated was a seven week holiday at the end of the year!! I have been looking at volunteer projects in Africa so I am mega mega excited. Just need to control the spending now so that I can afford it!
Kevin (my "new" kidney) will be 10 this year!! time as flown by, it's amazing to think how sick I was and how far I have come! I didn't think I would make the transplant operation back in 2004 because I reacted pretty poorly to the dialysis and now I'm practically normal - Practically!! hehe. I take my drugs twice a day, inject once a day and I'm still a regular at a couple of hospitals but I can't tell you how good it all is.
I hope with all my being that things are getting easier for you. You had such an awful year last year, but things can only get better. You know those charity donations of £3 a month... well, how about I donate you 3lbs of my luck and energy each month?? I wish I could help in some more tangible way. I hope you are in a good state of mind and looking after yourself and surrounding yourself with wonderful hopeful people.
Wishing you every love, luck and happiness
Tx xxx
