Just wanted to thank Absnotfab for mentioning the Gluten Summit.

I am coeliac and the lectures were so informative and enlightening. I knew eating Gluten for me was a complete No no, but I didn't realize just how many problems come from eating it.

It has changed my way of eating in so many ways. Thanks again Absnotfab

I'm interested in reading about the gluten free diet.

I'm reading a book of lupus recovery diet and it mentions they you have to go vegan for lupus not to attack again. I love my cheese. I can take out of my diet everything but not my cheese.

If someone had told me 10 years ago that I should give up gluten to be healthy I would have been resistent and skeptical. But when I accidentally went on an unrelated trial diet my energy levels skyrocketed. Feeling the difference going GF made in me banished all reluctance and skepticism. No amount of pastries, pizza and beer can ever be worth the price in well being which they exact. If gluten really is causing you problems, then I predict that going GF for less then a fortnight, ( with me it was less then 2 days, ) will fix your resolve to never willingly eat the stuff again!

No... keep mentioning it. gluten is a difficult one, especially for those who are intolerant rather than a full coeliac, as often people will not make the connection, even though thyroid medication appears in some cases to work more effectively if people give it up. I was stubborn for a bit, having done it for three months years ago and not felt much different, but this time around I did it totally strictly and can see the benefits. My joints are better for it, and my constant sneezing has gone. I think for those with autoimmune disease it takes a layer of irritation out of the body. Sure it is a fuss working out that even things like stock cubes and soy sauce contain gluten, and having to have gluten free beer etc, but I can now spot those with gluten intolerance! MaryF x
