Electrophysiological Study +/- radio frequency ablation

Hi all,

Has anyone had this treatment and if so did it help with the SVT? If they find the short circuit they will give me the radiofrequency ablation.

Hi Witty. An electrophysiological study is conducted by a cardiac electrophysiologist to record the heart and analyse the function of the heart’s electrical system, all with the view to diagnose irregular or abnormal heart rhythms. The outcome of the study will help your doctor to determine the cause or risk of abnormal heart rhythms and assist him/her in making decisions in relation to future treatment. You can view our information booklet here bit.ly/XanNJL - give us call on 01789 450787 for more info. Thanks

Thank you, I know I have SVT and medication stops my heart beat at over 200bpm.

Basically I suppose what I really wanted to know, was do they always find the short circuit?

Best wishes xx
