hi, I just wondered if anyone on here has had ablation for Multifocal PVCs, or what meds they are taking?

Multi focal PVCs
Hi Prince I went for an ablation but the PVCs didn’t appear so went home again! At that point they were 22% of beats. Bisoprolol alone didn’t work but am now on that plus Flecainide and the PVCs have gone. It’s been a great relief! Good luck
Yes, I had been taking bisoprolol and Ramipril for several years with a really low burden at check ups (<5%), then had a sudden and unexplained increase to about 15% and was really symptomatic. I had an ablation done, which seemed to reduce them initially but the burden crept back up to about 20% over the following 4 months. I had a second ablation done in July and am feeling much improved at this stage. I still feel PVCs happening everyday but not nearly as many and not nearly as bothersome. They told me that because they are multi focal, sometimes targeting and suppressing one region with an ablation can actually allow other regions to become more pronounced. It’s been a bit of a journey to get things under control for me but I’m headed in the right direction. I’m now taking nebivolol, Ramipril, and dapagliflozin
Thanks for this, I take 100mg Flecainide every 8 hours which has got rid of 90% of the PVCs, I just don’t want to be taking meds for the rest of my life
I have PACs and these are going to be ablated along with my AF troubles once my turn comes round. I think multi-focal are more difficult to deal with than uni-focal. If you get the chance, ask your GP about this.

I had PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) 5 years ago, but they completely went away after I started taking Magnesium Taurate (Cardiovascular Research Magnesium Taurate, 125 mg, 60 capsules). I’ve now been free of PVCs for years without continuing the supplement. The cause of my PVCs was an electrolyte imbalance. Tip: take this Magnesium in morning not naight..
