Hi folks🙋‍♂️… it’s been 27 months of living with this defribulator under my left armpit and I feel the pain from the device is getting so unbearable. Usually happens after I wake up in the morning. I get a bad pain where the device is located and where the wires go across my chest. Idk if this is normal. Also, I’ve done some research on the medicine they have me taking(Nadolol 20mg), and I have no idea why I am on it… it slows my heart done… but my heart already beats slower than the average person🤷‍♂️and I have every single side effect symptoms from this drug. Has anyone else experienced this kind of pain or situation? I’m seriously contemplating having my S-ICD device removed permanently

I'd say you need to call into your doctor and tell them about your pain. I doubt it's normal to have that much pain to the point where you are miserable. Also, you are likely on nadolol for an arrhythmia? Why did they implant the ICD? I'd assume you have a life threatening arrhythmia and beta blockers help block adrenaline that can trigger whatever it is you have. ICD is usually a last line of defense not a first line. But I'm only guessing since I don't have your background. Best of luck, I hope you get it all sorted out soon with your doctor!
There is so much to the entire story. It’s so so long. I took a nap and woke up out of a one week coma, from what I’m told I went into cardiac arrest 3x within an hour and a half. I don’t know too much but I have a bunch of heart conditions with Brugada Syndrome being at the top
Wow, I'm sorry that's a lot to deal with. Yes, I would call about your pain still. As far as the beta blocker is concerned, I think with what you have, you will always have to be on one, but there are many types and maybe another type or a different dosage would be a better fit for you. Just tell your doctor how you are feeling. Best of luck in feeling better.
Hello, I saw in your biography you suffered a cardiac arrest just like me. I don't understand why the ICD was put under the armpit. As a cardiac arrest survivor, you need an ICD. I would call the doctor for the pain.
