How long does it normaly take Dofetilide to work?

I have been taking dofetilide for just over 1 month. I don't have AF but thousands of PAC's, ectopics and atrial tachycardia every day. These palpitations keep me awake for hours every night. So far I have seen no relief from palpitations. I see the doctor next week and I want to get off the pills because I feel like the palpitations have become even stronger than when I started taking dofetilide. The side effects bother me but if it helped I would be willing to live with them. Is 1 month a fair trial or should I give it more time. Reviews I've read led me to have hope that this would be the pill that worked for me. Some people stabilized after the first or second dose. I can't have an ablation because the problem area is right above the phrenic nerve.

Hi

Whatever the medication, it should have had a positive effect by now. Within days in fact. See your doc and have it changed. This med is not available in UK so not many people on this UK site have used it. Phil
