Hi Best2. I can give you an idea and the good news is that this doesn't report anything of danger.Sinus rythym means that your heart was beating regularly throughout your test, at a rate varying between 47 and 110 bpm, meaning that its normal electrical impulses are coming from the right place, which is the sinus node, an area in the upper right chamber of your heart. During this time you did experience a total of 10% ectopic beats which you probably know as palpitations. These occurred from one single location, coming in ones, twos and threes, which means no atrial fibrillation was present (this being chaotic electrical impulses causing an irregular and fast heartbeat). Occasionally these did come from the atria (or upper) chambers of your heart. Most of them were produced (as is usual), in the bottom (ventricular) chambers, and your reported anxiety may have increased these. So please don't worry too much especially as you are going to have a follow-up appointment at which you can express any fears you may have.

Hi! This is virtually the same as my Holter report, although I "only" had 4% ventricular ectopics. I feel very rough so I imagine you do too. The good news is that the cardiologist doesn't seem to worried about me so hopefully you will be in the same position. The other good news is that it seems many people have this problem and are otherwise healthy. Of course that doesn't really make me feel physically better, but it has reduced my anxiety somewhat.

I have a stress echocardiogram this afternoon to try to find out more about the source of the ectopics and to check what happens when my heart rate goes up.
