My poor old heart has a life of it's own! Running at whatever speed it wants to, mostly goes along at just over 40bpm even straight after a long walk. Some times for no reason it will decide to ramp up the beats to over 100bpm at rest, also many missed beats and extra ones to boot.
I down loaded an app "cardiac diagnosis" which often tells me what I already knew, though it does suggest that when I have two reds showing, normally the arrhythmia and any of the three others, it flags up danger. I went to my doctor over this in August, (please see previous posts!!!)
Do I go back or carry on? Thanks for any suggestions. Steve now 61!

As the others have said, insist on a cardiologist referral. I was told by my GP for nearly 4 years that I was “normal” when I finally got a referral to the arrhythmia clinic at hospital I was diagnosed with svt. I’m now under the care of a very good cardiologist who specialises in arrhythmia, and am awaiting a 2nd ablation after an unsuccessful 1st one. I am the same as you though, generally I have a very slow heart rate but when I get an svt episode it goes up to 260 bpm+
Keep pushing your GP though, only a specialist can really tell if what you are experiencing is normal or not.
I agree,I was given medication to slow my heart rate down to combat paroxsymal atrial fibrillation, but with underlying high BP,this is not a good combo..as I found out recently by having a suspected monochrome.Go back please!
