I'm just wondering if anyone has taken a magnesium supplement for ectopic heartbeats and if it has helped?

Does magnesium help ectopic heartbeats?
Well if you have a low magnesium it is likely to help
Im told that there is a need get the magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium right in the body. My GP said that a better diet rather than supplements is the way to go. I have received mixed advice here but have changed my diet to ensure i get more in through diet. I would suggest not to supplement without GP advice.
My wife is suffering from ectopics for a year now, she doesn't have any symptoms but I am a doctor and I check her pulse every few hours (I am obsessed!!). I brought her some Magnesium powder, she improved but still I notice ectopics sometimes. Then I came across a book called 'The Magnesium Miracle' by Dr. Carolyn Dean. It is an awesome book about Magnesium, and then it talks about how Magnesium could be a treatment of atrial fibrillation which is much more worse and serious than ventricular ectopics. The thing that caught my attention is she talks about different forms of Magnesium, the usual forms ' Magnesium oxide, citrate, carbonate etc..' are very poorly absorbed (4% of oxide only absorbed!'. She has a product called ReMag which is a pico ion Magnesium (very pure!) and 100% absorbed and don't have any laxative effect. Although I don't live in the US I ordered it and can't wait to give it to my wife and I plan to use it myself to help with stress.
Update on my wife's premature ventricular ectopics. The 'ReMag' which is the pico ionic highly purified Magnesium arrived, now it's been two weeks since my wife started taking it, and she is ectopic free! Not one ectopic, this thing is magic, and for everyone with arrhythmia like benign ectopics or even AF, order this product and you will see much improvement.
Note: I am a doctor from Iraq, and I found it very difficult to get this ReMag Magnesium by Dr. Carolyn Dean, and it is much more expensive than if I would buy it from America (costs 29.99$). It took 3 weeks to arrive. I think if you buy it online and if you live in America it will cost you less and arrives faster.
Also I'm not promoting for any products, I just want to share my experience with you, and maybe you will benefit the same.
I too am interested in whether magnesium can help with ectopic beats and atrial fibrillation and have just started taking a magnesium supplement to see whether it makes a difference.
I'd be very interested to hear from others who have tried magnesium supplementation for heart rhythm problems and had positive - or even negative - results.
Incidentally, I did some research on Dr Carolyn Dean, author of The Magnesium Miracle which Robertgreen888 recommends in this thread, and it turns out that she was declared "unfit to practise" by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Canada.
Here's the full statement: casewatch.org/foreign/dean/...
The college said that in her care of 36 patients, Dean had displayed "a lack of skill and judgment and a disregard for (their) welfare" and was "guilty of professional misconduct".
Funnily enough, there is no mention of this on her website! Of course, this does not necessarily invalidate her book or her product ReMag but it does suggest that a very cautious - if not sceptical - approach to both might be advisable.
