Hi M533! A lot of yummy healthy meals get shared here, so I think it’s a good place to start 😊! I am also vegan-ish…allergic to dairy and eggs, cannot have red meat, so I find it easiest to shop and cook vegan/plant based, but I will eat poultry and seafood occasionally. Good luck on your weight loss journey- hope you find some inspirational meals here! 😊
I have had my best weight loss success by getting off of sugar and wheat. I know its hard! It sounds impossible but its not that bad. I have done it slowly. First quit desserts in 2015 because I was suffering with several autoimmune disorders and on a very expensive bone marrow stimulating drug. I had also been on prednisone for a long time and was very overweight. My diet at that time was "eat everything that tastes good and is comforting". That diet was NOT working for me! sadly. So I cut out desserts, still had some sweets like fruit smoothies and granola. That helped me to take a lot of weight off, along with gentle exercise like water walking.
This past year, I've been off and on wheat. I feel much better when I don't eat it, fewer aches and pains, arthritis is better, eczema goes away. I also have been trying to quit eating in the evening. I'm not perfect but I feel better and tend to lose weight if I quit eating by 7pm.
