Every day I eat the same exact thing.

1 cup oatmeal

4 rice cakes

8 oz of goat cheese

1 apple

8 eggs

1 large potato

1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter

4 tablespoons of grass fed butter

6 grams fiber supplement.

Welcome to the Healthy Eating group. Thank you for introducing yourself to everyone. Please feel free to continue posting/commenting/asking questions and take a look at the Topics section for the group. 😀👍

Have you talked to your doctor about changing your diet? Are you allergic to certain types of food/drink?

I’m respectfully curious why you eat the same food each day? I like to ring the changes, not just for differences in taste and texture but nutrient content. I do eat oats most days however. in the form of porridge as I love it, especially on these cold autumn days and today I added crushed cardamom pods and cinnamon a for a spicy change and used apple purée to sweeten.

less choices to make, easiert to stick to diet and budjet, most items can be grown or produced on farm. Just overall more efficient for me.

there are rare occasions when i visit family, i might treat myself.

Hi Phillip, in my opinion all the ingredients you are consuming are definitely healthy, however in a healthy lifestyle is important to consider so many things, such as how active during day you are, your body proportions, your vitamin deficiencies and others. After that can be considered if this food is healthy enough for you or not.

But in general I would say that you are doing a great job. I would really like to get to that point to eat products from local farms. Unfortunately they are a bit too expensive for me, but I hope that one day it will not be a problem anymore.

Yes, it's definitely hard to consume all the vitamins, that our body needs. Maybe it would be nice to add more types of vegetables and more types of protein.

Or the easiest way is to let to check your blood and according to that you will find your vitamin deficiencies, but that you have to pay for (at least in my country). Or more hard way is to listen and observe your body and try to see, if you are not tired, if you are not often sick, if you don't have headaches and so on. According to that you can also find what your body needs.

I suspect that uou might find it defficient in some vitamins and minerals without dark leafy green vegetables.

Everything in moderation! 8 eggs & half a pound of cheese every day is not

There is a definite lack of fruit and veg in your diet. In addition I would say that 8 eggs a day is excessive. Doctors normally recommend eating a varied diet in order to ensure that you get all the vitamins and minerals you need. The individual items you eat are all healthy but you really need to add a greater variety.

No comment on your diet. I would be interested to know how you feel? Is your energy good? Is your health good? Have you been doing this for a long time? Are you concerned because of other people telling you it is wrong but you feel great? Fascinating post.

Hey Phil. Been about a year now. Feel great. Plenty of energy. Maintaining a healthy weight. Just want to see what I'm missing. Always looking to improve.

I think I'm going to have some blood work done and see what vitamins I need in my diet. Probably incorporate some microgreens for extra nutrition.

I was so curious to find out how you feel health wise. Yet if you are feeling great then maybe you are doing the right thing. Good idea to get things checked out. Like the idea of eating microgreens. I grow my own salads in the autumn/winter - they taste so much better than the supermarket. Possible to grow these indoors. So much cheaper and no doubt healthier.

Like others, I have no problem with the foods you are eating, but I think you would be even better to reduce all the quantities just a little, so that you have room on your plate (and in your appetite) for vegetables, especially leafy green ones, but also perhaps carrots, leeks, beetroot (just examples!) Plenty of greens and some other colours in your diet would make sure you are getting the micronutrients you need.

In my humble opinion, 8 eggs is a lot. Also you should (as should we all) incorporate more fruit/vegetables into our diets (I need to practice what I preach mind you lol). Good luck.

I assume you are a vegetarian. Thats lovely. You might add in a variety of nuts, dried or fresh fruit. Also green vegs and perhaps change out a yam for the white potato on some days. Also if you like beans, they are good for fiber. An apple every day is my goal, this is a good reminder to do that.
