I’m thinking of oven roasting them after trimming them or adding bacon bits to them .

Hi Richard260 ,
I like having Brussel Sprouts either cooked in the oven or microwaved with other vegetables. I like having them with some seasonings on them, but it depends how much is used at the time. The last time I had sprouts was as a carry out side dish from a restaurant for a dinner.
I like sprouts and have fried them before with mushrooms, garlic and lots of black pepper. I especially like the sprout tops which sometimes come in my organic veg delivery. I wonder if you would park boil them before roasting? I did this before frying😊
Hi Richard260
I've never snacked on sprouts, but I really like eating sprouts as part of a main meal, and I tend to have them just boiled in water. I really like them!
I think your suggestion to have them with some bacon bits sounds tasty. I hope you enjoy them.

That sounds delicious! I like to oven roast them with chestnuts; both bacon and chestnuts sound lovely too 🙋
Sliced finely, raw with a bit of salad dressing of any sort - sweet, crunchy and delicious.
I don't like sprouts, unless they've been roasted. I always found them too bitter before, but they're really tasty when they've soaked up all the flavours around them and caramelised
I love sprouts and usually finish off a few raw ones before they get cooked. Even my dog likes them. I usually steam them or add them to stir fries. A good way to eat them is finely sliced and stir fried with chestnuts and bacon. Even non sprout lovers seem to like them this way.
I often snack on sprouts myself, but being lazy I just have them with a dash of soy sauce.
I like to saute kale , cabbage, greens, sprouts etc I find it brings out the flavour keeps the texture, probably conserves vitamins and the taste is sublime
I love Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately so do my sheep and they’ve perfected the appealing eyes / pitiful look, so I often end up giving them all my sprouts. Sprouts go with everything,in anything, and are great for snacking though I snack on cooked ones. I haven’t tried roasting them but there’s a great dish to cook in the oven with peas and spinach in a creamy sauce. You can use frozen spinach so long as it’s the leafy and not chopped spinach, and frozen peas, but not frozen sprouts as they need to be sliced. Raw sprouts are easy to slice. Sprouts also go nicely with chestnuts, and as these are a similar size they look great together in a dish or on a plate, and are great for snacking too.
