I got the spatchcock poussin with salt and pepper from local Sainsbury’s. A bunch of fresh basil on top as the final touch. It meant to be roasted, but my oven’s broken.

Please don't tell me you threw out the water! 🤯 I used to steam chicken before flash frying it, and I would use the water which was basically chicken stock cook rice. It was beautiful chicken flavoured rice, and gave the meal layers of chicken flavour.
I use my steamer a lot for veggies, but have never tried cooking meat with it. Next time I am cooking chicken, I will try this out - thank you for the idea.
