Hey ya'll! I'm new here and excited to be part of the community I'm 24 years old with a sensitive digestive system and have been eating healthy and working out since the age of 16. Now, a college student, I'm writing a paper on healthy living as this is a great topic of interest to me. But beyond that- it is my way of life!
I'm just wondering what motivated you guys to start your health journeys? I'd love to hear what healthy living MEANS to you! Why do you believe it is important? And hey, feel free to share your ideas or opinions on various diets/habits/exercises you believe in! I'd love to hear your thoughts as I'm sure I can learn a lot from each and every one of you

Hello petitey24 firsty welcome toHe and thank you for introducing yourself.
I've been into whole foods since my teens and then when I was diagnosed with coeliac I decided that my best option was a natural gluten free diet avoiding processed foods and it really worked for me as I had severe anaemia and felt better really quickly after diagnosis and my philosophy is I eat myself healthy
And it works for me as I realised the value of a nutritious healthy diet which coupled with adequate exercise is the answer to good well being.
I hope that you enjoy being a member of our friendly community. ππ
The problem is, what is healthy eating? I religiously followed the EatWell Guide/MyPlate etc, making 1/3 of each meal beige carbs and avoiding saturated fats and replacing them with seed oils and keeping the total fats low. I now know that everything I did was wrong. It made me fat and sick, and doctors blamed me for it, and thought I was lying when I told them I ate low fat and exercised every day.
So, I have always eaten healthily, but my diet is completely different to what it was 18 months ago.
