Majority of the time when I go the loo, the stool is like pebbles and black. However other days it can be normal size and brown. Sometimes I feel like i need to go but can't. Been really concerned about this as its been happening for a good year or so now.

Definitely get this checked out with your GP. In the interim increase your water intake and maybe add some extra fibre to your diet. Find which one works for you. Maybe a cereal based one might help. You could always add some dried or tinned prunes. I’ve also switched to eating Ryvita crackers instead of bread. I’ve had similar issues in the past. I find being daily consistent with some of the ideas I’ve suggested works wonders. Good luck!
Hi, thank you. The wierd thing is at all kind of started when I left college. I used to be really nervous when going to college so thought has it been anything to do with nerves. Im also thinking it could be because I know longer do physical excercise like I did in college as I only have a part time job and the rest of the time I'm stuck at home. Especially now.
Are you taking Iron supplements? If so, it could be that, otherwise it could be digested blood from somewhere in your digestive tract.
If you can't relate it to iron, see your doctor, please.
Cheers, Midori
You need to eat Kellogg’s ALLBRAN for your breakfast EVERY DAY with maybe a spoonful of black treacle, try it and see, good luck 😊
For general constipation, one should also drink water before meals and in the morning after brush.
So a glass of water in the morning after brush, then a glass of water just before breakfast, a glass of water just before lunch and just before afternoon tea and before dinner. So above routine is in addition to your usual water consumption.
It has worked for many I know.
Give it a try.
