Anyone really into the idea of being an accountability partner for me?

I need a lot of motivation to continue to reach my goals. I was doing well while I had a personal trainer that would keep in touch with me but now I'm on my own i figure if this is something you think might help you too then we could help each other.

I suggest you post what your goals are, and regularly report how you are getting on, and you will get plenty of encouraging replies!

I also find that just reading other people's posts and the replies to them is helpful.

My problem is that this website is easy to ignore or forget about! I need someone to actively contact me to get a move on! I know it's not great but while I'm trying to find the route of the problem I'd also like to get some sort of routine established again.

Hi OrangeCoconut

We have a topic called HE and Exercise, which stands for Healthy eating and Exercise, and people post there with goals etc, as well as generally - and I feel sure you'll get lots of encouragement - so we're cheering you on!

Thank you, I'll check it out. Struggling to even get started anywhere. Feel like because I've not done anything exercise/nutrition wise that I'm completely incapable and not worth the effort of even trying.

Do you want to keep tabs once a week ? We can do this as I am Kidney Health Coach as well. Would love to share our journey together of how we can reach our goals!

yes I'd love to! What sort of goals do you have? Do you use any other social media? I'm quite active on Instagram. It seems to be where I spend most of my time.

No Instagram or FB. Just trying to reach goal of eating three healthy meals a day with at least 1500 ml of water a day. Also to eat veggie and fruits as snacks only. Gave up the sweets. Do not eat the meats. Exercising twice a day at at least four days a week.

Had kidney transplant and medication made me gain weight so trying to slim back down.

What is your story?

Good goals! What sort of exercise you doing? Are you vegetarian?

I've been overweight for all of my adult life (I'll be 30 this month) not completely inactive but self-confessed lazy bum! Im a mum to 2 young boys. I was previously working with a personal trainer for 3 months. I was tracking my calorie intake(1700cals) my water intake (2.5-3litres), home workouts 4 times a week and then additional walking/running on top. I was feeling strong and enjoying the changes to my body and fitness. Since I stopped working with him I've done what feels like nothing. I'm almost scared to start working out again because I feel completely incapable of the things I was doing a few months ago.

I am walking or doing treadmill once a day and doing the video of zumba the other part of the day. Let us start with your schedule since you have two boys to work around. I try to set up my day early in the morning or the evening before so that I can stick to a routine. Can you just start with drinking the water throughout the day to get a good cleansing effect to your body? Let us both do for two days and see if when can get at least 1700 to 2000 ml a day. Are you sleeping okay?

I am 148 pounds and need to lose at least 15 pounds to start....Was 120 before the kidney transplant. Any health issues to ask your doctor about?

We usually start our day between 6:30-7am then if it is just me that is home alone with them then I am bringer of snacks and breaker upper of fights for a solid 12 hours until they both go to bed. Because of this I'm most likely to regularly fit in exersise after they have gone to bed in the evening. Once I'm asleep I'm good but struggle to switch off in the evenings which then leaves me tired throughout the whole following day.

I am about 250lbs, I will weigh myself today before breakfast. My overall goal is to lose about 70lbs.

I have asthma that I have had since i was a child and is well controlled now other than that I'm good.

Okay, so I now know the forces you are dealing with. Can you include the kids in an exercise routine? Do you have pets like a dog that needs to be walked?

Let us try the water during the day and some fruits and veggie snacks. I am cutting up some celery and do the peach and 5 wheat cracker when I get hunger. Can we encouraged the kids to join you on the snacks?

We have to be creative. I am seeing a new you forming together....

No dog but yes my kids are a form of exersise! We often do kiddy yoga or a bit of dancing to burn of some energy!

My kids eat really well but often I don't make the time for myself to join them. They eat things like porridge for breakfast, vegtable soup for lunch. Fruit and veg as snacks. Often what happens is I make their breakfast im tidying up in the kitchen then setting up our activities for the day. By the time I'm grabbing something to eat it's usually a bag of crisps or a chocolate bar to do me until lunch but then the same thing happens again. I don't sit down to eat with them so grab something quick or a cheese sandwich to eat on the move. By the time they go to bed I've either made myself feel sick with snacking or its a takeaway/freezer food (low-no nutritional value) then off to bed before it all starts again the next day! Im going to take your advice and prep some bits tonight so I can try to avoid this trap tomorrow. I have tried to up the amount of water I've drank today but not sure on the mls will be using a 1ltr water bottle tomorrow so I'll have a better idea of where I'm at

I had a bit of struggle yesterday getting the water in since I am on the move and do not want to stop and use bathroom at other places since we are in COVID 19. But going to do better.

Still trying to gauze my urine output to what I take in so I will not get dehydrated.

How do you do your dinner? My problem I usually do not eat my vegetarian meal till 900pm.

Spacing my meals out so that I will eat healthy!
