Loosing weight is a slow process and it can be done!
Portion control and regular exercise like, walking, cycling or swimming.
You may have to give up a lot of food you eat now.
To start with:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. For breakfast, go for 2 min microwave cooking porridge with milk and nothing else.
When you feel hungry drink water.
3. Fresh greens steamed with scrambled eggs.
When you feel hungry drink water.
4. For dinner grilled chicken or fish with broccoli or cauliflower.
When you feel hungry drink water.
The same food allow you to do a check on your food intake, after two weeks you can modify your food intake but portion and quantity is a must.
I am afraid no other food in between, to control the portions you can use small plate.
See how this goes for two weeks, weigh before two weeks and after two weeks.
You can eat some nuts but you have to count 5 nuts no more!!, very difficult.
I have achieved it. Now days I am maintaining my weight.
If you have any medical condition you need to consult you GP to make sure that you can start on food intake control.
Hi
From the way you talk about your friends and your Mum, I'm guessing that you are still quite young and I think that it would probably be best for you to look for support and advice from your doctor rather than from people on a website who don't have all the info about your situation.
Ask your Mum to make an appointment for you both to talk with your Dr about your weight, your eating and your concerns.
I hope that you find something that works for you.

I agree. Id keep a food diary for a few days to demonstrate your diet and explain your concerns and when you noticed them.
Use the free myfitnesspal app to look at what you are eating and how much exercise you are doing. It will support you in finding answers at to why you are not gaining weight. I would also recommend going to the Drs to get check out. There could be a reason why you are not gaining weight (sorry to be so graphic) like a tape worm.
