Potentially. I think your would need to ensure the coconut oil is liquid to allow it to mix as well as avocado oil would, and you will also find it influences the flavour (may or may not be a nice combination).
Why not try making a quarter batch to see if it works, then you won't have too much waste if it doesn't?
I'm sure of it tasted awful you could mix through some flour and egg and bake some brownies though
I fully agree, with your advice, the same will be true for Groundnut, Soya Bean, Hazelnut or indeed Any 'other' oil you fancy. Personally I use Rape Seed oil, it's light, has a high 'smoke point' and it pretty much tasteless.
I 'roared', at your suggestion, of making a 'failed attempt' into brownies😂.

Coconut oil is solid at room temperature, unless it has been adulterated, How about trying Hazelnut oil? It is what is used in Nutella.
