Hi Tigerlily21

The 'Eat Well for Less' series on BBC is good - you can have a look at some of their recipes here in this article:

Hi tigerlily there are so many boxes of cereals on offer, but if you look at the nutrition information I think you could be surprised especially at the high sugar content, which is not going to help you lose weight.

Eggs are very versatile and not expensive, they have protein and good fats. Easy to prepare too, scrambled with cheese grated. Omelette with spinach or mushrooms, a box of mushrooms and a bag of spinach would last a week and both inexpensive.

There are healthy nutrients in those I have suggested more than a box of cereal, and feel fuller for longer. Also lose weight. It’s not expensive to eat healthy but it is expensive to eat a diet of junk food.

I go along with the eggs and spinach - I buy them every week they are a staple and really cheap. I also go to budget supermarket and get whatever fresh veg is on offer ( aldi and lidl often have lots of things under 60p - I get variety that way and try new things I perhaps wouldn't consider otherwise ) I also eat baked beans on toast for breakfast sometimes - I find it really filling and can usually skip lunch or just have fruit snack for lunch after having those.

Not what you're looking for?
