Just seen this is for pre-diabetic. Which actually I'd great as had the dreaded letter through the post the other day. Not had gotten the results from the doctor, yet but he made the referral.

So looking forward to good healthy ideas. I weighed in st 140kilo week. So I have grown a protest beard which I will shave off when I get to 110kilo. I may have a very long beard before then ....

Hi and welcome to the Healthy Eating group, M17el . Please feel free to continue posting and commenting, asking questions, take a look at the Topics/Events/Polls/Pinned Posts sections for ideas and/suggestions on different types of meals/snacks. We have a Prediabetes topic you can also check out.

Here's a link to the DRWF website for their free information leaflets dealing with "Diet and Diabetes" and "Exercise and Diabetes". All leaflets are able to be downloaded/read/listened to at anytime. Go to: drwf.org.uk/understanding-d...

HU also has groups for Diabetics. Two of them are:

DI: healthunlocked.com/diabetes...

DRWF: healthunlocked.com/drwfdiab...

Hope this helps! :-)

You're welcome and if you have any questions, please let us know and we will try to answer them to the best of our abilities. Did your doctor do an A1c (3-4 month blood test for blood sugars after 90 days)?

Okay, when you get everything, please let us know what the doctor says. Also, has the doctor given you a home testing monitor to check blood sugars during the day?

Well good luck with your quest and you will get plenty of support on here. 😊

Hi and welcome M17el , I’m getting ready for work and haven’t got time to type a detailed reply but if you click on my user name you’ll be able to see my replies to previous posts and there’s quite a lot about how I got my prediabetic blood sugars back into the healthy range last year. Good luck 😀
