I have struggle with my weight most of my life. I now in the obesity category.I can change my eating but I hate exercise and only like walking. My doctor told me that walking doesn't make you lose weight. Has any use walking for weight loss and what were your results.

Walking in itself will not make you lose weight but some sort of exercise is pretty essential for health. When you are walking yiu are bound to burn more calories than sitting still.

If yiu are really heavy other forms of exercise will be uncomfortable just now. If yiu start to lose the weight through reducing food intake then other forms of exercise will become easier and will accelerate the weight loss.

Just keep walking every day or even more than once a day. It's good for you as it exercises the heart and lungs and improves circulation. It's also good to go for a walk we food cravings become too much.

I can tell you from my own experience that walking DOES make a difference! On You Tube, look up the walking videos by Leslie Sansone..She is wonderful and has videos for the 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile walks and I just love how she is so encouraging! Don't give up! You can do this!

Walking, especially if brisk, does help a bit.

I lost a lot of weight eating healthily and walking. I went on long walks. i.e. 6 miles in a day at a high speed. I was obese at the time of losing weight and (do not quote me on this as I'm not entirely sure!) but you lose weight easier when you're heavier because you need more energy to maintain your weight.

Also, for me, walking helped as a distraction from eating.

Don't know what is your weight but unless you reduce carbs howsoever intense exercise you do your weight is not gonna reduce. Go for very low carb diet. Lchf. Take plenty of good fats. And you will be able to reduce your weight significantly. Keto diet if you are very obese.
