We’re starting to plan our Greek Island holiday next year and I thought I’d get in the mood by getting out my Greek cook book. I’m quite happy with my first attempt at Moussaka. I served it with the salads I bought yesterday.

Wow! Looks great and I am sure it is delicious!
You used interesting combination of pork, veal and lamb mince. I thought it was just lamb in Greek moussaka.
That’s what I thought too but this recipe book is written by one of Australia’s leading Greek chefs so I guess he knows what he’s talking about. I have seen other recipes with just lamb. I couldn’t find the particular cheese mentioned so I substituted it with Romano cheese.
Your Moussaka looks really delicious Kaz and you can day dream about going on holiday to Greece next now. 😊
Looks good! I make a version using just beef mince and potato instead of aubergine, it’s one of those dishes you can change things and it’s still delicious! I used to holiday in the Greek Islands, I used to love it there so enjoy!
