Good morning! It's my "hot cup of coffee" time and it's Monday, so back to work!
This weekend I went house hunting in a beautiful place called Pine Mountain Club. Unbelievable views, gorgeous location, an hour and a half away from my work though... *sips coffee* The home prices there are far below the prices everywhere else where I live, and in such a lush beautiful location, it's hard to believe, until you realize how long it takes to drive there. That's really the only reason the prices are so cheap. It would take me an hour and a half one way to get home from work. Also, from where the homes are there, to get to any civilization (big stores, movie theaters, etc) it takes at least an hour or more of driving down out of the mountains. But, gosh... what beauty!
I looked at a two-story mountain cabin sorta A frame (style), brand new, all new fixtures, on a huge lot of land, where it snows and where the weather is perfect pretty much all the time during the summer, and all you hear out there are birds and critters, so very peaceful, no traffic sounds, no pollution. Just paradise, if you like mountains and golf courses, and fishing, and snow and skiing,... but as I sit here sipping my coffee, I realize that where I live at right now, might not be paradise, but it's only a 12 minute drive to work, it's near the ocean, it's where everything is happening, movies, and restaurants, and malls and I kind-of don't think I'm ready to give all that up yet. So, I will sip my coffee and know that I am happy where I am for now. Although Pine Mountain Club is still (for me) a very gorgeous place, somewhere I would love to buy a cabin, it is still a bit too far out for me since I still work in the city. I did love my trip out there though, and my heart, mind, and spirit loved the quiet peacefulness. I think I best stay close to the beach and work. I'm fasting today, except for this cup of coffee. Yum Yum Yum. Here's a photo of the house I looked at, from Zillow. I grabbed it to share. Totally affordable for me. Totally gorgeous on the inside too.
I hope you all had a great weekend, and are doing well on your eating.
