And birthdays....

These are family moments when everyone gets together and celebrates. Out come the cakes, the alcohol. At such times I think it is right to socialise to whatever extent you and your body can cope with.

Me too. I follow the 80/20 rule - eat really well 80% of the time and enjoy some birthday cake, Christmas trifle or Easter Eggs without feeling guilty πŸ˜€

Pretty much!

Although for me, Christmas, birthdays and Tuesday's last about 3 weeks ;)

I have lost a pound a week every week for over six months, including Christmas, birthdays etc.

I had four festive meals on four consecutive days before Christmas, and I more-or-less stuffed myself - but, on those four days, I only ate One Meal A Day.

I lost weight over Christmas and New Year too. I ate all the usual things just small portions.

I agree with some of the above. I don't do Easter, but I do most of the others. Just when you think that you are doing alright, it goes and gets spoilt by some-one tempting you. I do wish that I could control myself more, but I am only human and it tells with my reactions. I then spend the next 2 or 3 days in repentance.

I eat treats occasionally without the guilt and then get back on track πŸ˜‰
