I’m struggling with weight loss and I know it’s down to binge eating.
I’ve been in and out of slimming groups for around four years and it’s just a vicious cycle. I have previously lost some weight by just being more aware of what I eat, but then I soon plateaued and then continued to binge.
Welcome to the Healthy eating forum. I'm not sure if you're read any articles or information about Binge Eating, but there is an article that you might find helpful, which is from Healthline, and the title of the article is "How to Stop Binge Eating":
Binge eating is a normal and almost unavoidable bodily response to calorie counting that almost everyone experiencies when trying to lose weight. Fortunately there is a way out. It is a whole food plant based diet which excludes certain alorie dense foods such as meat fish dairy eggs and refined oils.
These are replaced by more fruit veg nuts seeds and legumes. Most people adopting this lifestyle find weight loss easy, in fact most people need to eat a full meal at every meal just to maintain their current weight.
You don't need to change overnight, one step at a time is best. Slow change allows you to learn the best things for you and your body.
Put it this way, I have never heard of a single case of someone putting lots of weight on when eating fibre rich meals.
