Last night I made some vegan icecream from a pack of frozen blueberries and (2 or 3?) frozen chopped ripe bananas. I blitzed these in my nutribullet / smoothie maker and added almond milk sufficient to make it whizz. There was so much frozen content the nutribullet struggled with what largely became a solid lump. But a few retries, more almond milk and job done. Most of this has been put back in the freezer for future days.
Earlier in the day I had blended up a few handfuls of soaked dates with powdered cacao, a whole large orange with oats. These I shaped into "balls" and baked in my airfryer, which makes them crisp on the outside and juicy in the middle.
Dates are great for the colon, the whole thing is extremely rich in potassium, magnesium. The blueberries help ensure that there is no sugar rush. The oats also slow down any sugar absorption.
The whole thing is eats like a Ben & Jerry's but, imo, absolutely no health downsides.
A truly indulgent sweet with no hangups.
