1. Go to your favourite store and buy the dress you would like to fit in.
2. Hang it in a place where you can see it every day. Visualise yourself in the dress and feel the experience.
Above will keep you motivated achieve your health goal.
Weight loss Diet:
Consider following a low carb dietary approach - LCHF/ketogenic diet. Learn about this diet. It is very effective in losing weight in a sustainable manner.
In this approach, your diet consists of lots of non-starchy vegetables, full fat dairy and some meat plus added healthy natural fat. You avoid GPS i.e. grains, potatoes, and sugar.
Exercise:
Exercise is good for overall well-being. However, do not depend on exercise to lose weight. Do something that you enjoy. Walking 3 - 4 miles a day would be quite good. It can be made up of several short walks if that is more convenient. You can use treadmill also if weather is harsh for walking.
I'm on ketogenic/low carb diet and it has worked very well for me. I'm pre-diatbetic so went onto it on doctor's advice, glad I did. There's a lot of misinformation around about the diet, so I have been careful to follow what I believe to be healthy versions of it, with lots of vegetables and salads, only moderate protein and loads of good fat. My cholesterol has improved slightly as well according to the doc.

Every little step helps. Don't use lifts & elevators when out shopping. Walk as much as you can. Keep at it & good luck
