Hi Was-me

There is an article written by a Nutritionist that looks quite good regarding some tips for eating out whilst on holiday - so maybe have a read of that - here is a link:

healthista.com/how-to-stay-...

Remember that you can choose how many courses you have, and also that you can order sauces etc 'on the side' rather than poured over the food - plus any other wishes you might have - you can discuss them with the person preparing your food. Maybe phone ahead or E-mail the place you're staying at (if you know where you're staying) to discuss any personal requirements or preferences you might have.

Sometimes, I choose 2 starters - or just one maincourse - and I try to choose a balanced meal - containing some quality protein, healthy fats, and wholegrain/wholemeal carbs - that's my way of choosing usually - if I can.

I suspect everyone is different in terms of how they handle eating out on a regular basis, but hopefully the article and also other people's replies will be helpful.

Enjoy your time away!

Thank that’s great

I love eating out! I just replace the heavy carbs and ask for more salad or veg. At first, you feel like you might be missing out but after a while you lose the desire for the chips, potato, rice or pasta.

I never eat puddings (I don't have a sweet tooth) but the cheese board is a good option if you have grapes instead of crackers.

You have to remember that you are the customer and most places want to see you leave smiling and happy to recommend them, so are pleased to oblige. Enjoy your holidays :)
