Hi b_meg2
I've just seen your post, and I'm wondering what kind of meals you enjoy currently, and how healthy you're feeling. Also, you mentioned wanting to 'sustain' a healthy diet, so I'm wondering if you're looking for motivational tips to keep going with an existing diet, or whether you're aiming to change your eating habits.
Maybe tell us more - so we can offer you some suggestions. I'd like to welcome you to the Healthy Eating forum, and hope you get chance to have a look around at our various Pinned posts and Topics - hopefully you'll find something that interests you.
Zest
I prefer to use the words 'a balanced diet' rather than 'a healthy diet'...because after all a balanced diet is healthy...and definitely sustainable.
I try to cook a lot of scratch, so I know what has gone into my food. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables but I do also eat carbs and fats (which our bodies also need). I treat myself every now and again too.
When I eat out with my partner we tend to share 2 dishes and if we want a dessert we tend to share one between us.
If I have no plans (so normally mon-thurs) I eat well and don't eat much processed food. Most of what I eat I cook myself. However, during the weekends, I enjoy myself a bit more a might have a bit of wine, maybe share a dessert, chips...etc.
It all evens out
Rather than trying to maintain a healthy diet look at it as changing to a lifestyle of eating good unprocessed food. Most people hate being on a diet.
Thanks guys, your replies are awesome
