Me again and with another I’m so proud of me moment- nothing special I know and to some a so what’s the big deal about that? response but in my attempt to cut our refined sugar and other sweet nasties my shopping list changed this month.
My biggest shocker, which I’ve just had as a desert after my homemade stir fry, was natural yogurt, berries and a dash of honey. As I spooned the natural yogurt into my bowl with the jar of honey close by I thought....”this ain’t gonna taste nice” but oh wow it was lovely and for one that has a sweet tooth it was sweet enough without being calorie laden. Made me wonder why manufacturers drown their products with so much sugar.... there really is no need for it.
As I continue to change my lifestyle and tastebuds I note that I’m smiling and valuing me more.
It’s one day at a time I know but I’m looking forward to each new day. I’m loving this journey and loving me more. I’ve a new relationship ...with me and like my car I am parting ways with my former relationship whose name was food.

Hi MissAzzee, well this is great reading so good for you and its like you've had a lightbulb moment and things are changing and you're doing the changing and benefiting from your new found energy and enthusiasm.
I will tell you why manufacturers add sugar salt and additives to food and thats to make them taste better, as they're used as taste enhancers that are empty or negative calories. When eating natural wholesome foods we don't need these additives as they're packed with mother natures own additives (vitamins and micronutrients) so why have second best...
Wow, that's great that you enjoyed the Natural Yoghurt - I really love it too - your post is very inspiring, and it's great to hear you feeling so good.
What a lovely post! X I bought a coconut cup from m&s the other day and had that with some berries, it was far nicer than I expected!
Are we ok to eat honey? I know sugar is bad but what about honey and molasses, the more natural sweeteners? Are they ok in small doses? I’m new to all of this x
Jojo I’m not sure about honey but from one that used to eat sugar directly from a packet or munch on sugar cubes at home or from restaurant tables it has to be far better for me. My aim is to drop the honey in the near future but until that day... a spoonful of honey will do alongside berries and other goodies xx
Ahh I was kind of hoping someone would say, yes Honey is fine! 😀 Although I didn’t quite munch on sugar cubes I do love sweet things! You sound like you’re doing brilliant - and I’m sure a spoonful of honey will have its own benefits! Xx
It’s okay to have honey and molasses in small portions/amounts. A person who is diabetic needs to make sure that their blood sugar isn’t high before they have honey or molasses since they can raise blood sugars very high for some very fast.
