Short answer is no. As a diabetic your body can no longer extract energy from sugar or starches. So all honey best avoided.
Hi there, Manuka honey is still great for treating wounds on diabetics and I read that Raw Acacia honey is the best honey for diabetics, I love Acacia honey and here's a link so you can make your own mind up about its suitability for you:

Hi maheendran ,

There is an interesting article about honey here, that may be helpful to your query:
It is a 'Medical News Today' article entitled "Can People with Type 2 Diabetes Eat Honey?"

For manuka honey, 1 tablespoonful has 17 grams of sugar. It consists of half glucose half fructose. I don't recommend though many benefits claimed, but one can take 1/2 - 1 tablespoonfuls per day judiciously. I also recommend that you consult your doctor before you start the use of the honey.
