Hi Red27, firstly well done for stopping smoking and the first step is the hardest. If you must snack a nice bag of fresh grapes would be good so would dried fruit and nuts.

I think its important to keep busy and avoid triggers and keep vigilant of negative thoughts, as sometimes we have to go through things to feel better, so its well worth the effort and good luck in your quest.

Lastly I'd eat as healthily as possible, so you can give it your all.

And you can do as it you weren't born smoking...

Nuts, seeds, >70% cocoa chocolate & fruit. The nuts & seeds are good for protein & healthy oils.

well done for stopping. The best thing you ccan do for your health.

Getting into a snacking habit everytime you want to smoke could be very bad for your waistline. Try distraction. Do something, anything when you get the urge. If its bad go for a walk.

If you must put something in your mouth, carrot sticks are low calorie but a drink of water is even lower !

The fidget toys that were so popular last year are useful to give your hands something to do if that would help.

Please do keep up the not smoking.

Dee
