About my place Now
I have spent the last 40 of my 64 years eating a vegetarian diet and I thought that helped my mind and spirit. I was wrong.
My Christmas day started with grilled grapefruit followed by garlic mushrooms on toast. Our main meal was a chestnut roast with baked vegetables and steamed sprouts with a celery and pea gravy. Finishing with a Christmas pudding. Not a drop of oil in sight. As I awake on this boxing day my body feels very clean and healthy.
I've just been bought 'The Clever Guts Diet: How to revolutionise your body from the inside out' book by Michael Mosley and just started reading it today. I have a friend who had already started reading it and she said it was amazing, I think this would be a good starting point for your digestive health. I am a Pescatarian; I love salmon so would find that really hard to give up.
My diet has changed quite a lot recently and rather than picking at the wrong foods I am eating more foods that do not have additives in them, cooking from scratch (I am using my slow cooker which I love) and I tend to pick at raw fruit bars i.e. raw date and nut bars.
In relation to your mind, have you thought about yoga? Also, I am following the Thrive Programme (have a look at the link below) as I suffer with Emetophobia but the Programme deals with all kinds of ailments i.e. ME, Depression and Emetophobia etc.
All the very best.
