Earl Grey tea.

I used to hate the stuff but I got a packet of it a few weeks ago and now I love it.

Has anyone got any favourite teas that I could try?

its one, either aldi or lidl I think, I'm sure its organic too

in reply to targetten

ok ill give it a go then... not to fond of green tea but might like it with coconut. cheers!

Jasmine leaf tea is really good, green tea is a classic and chai is delicious. If you want more of a black tea though you can get almond black tea, that's really nice stuff.

The almond sounds good, thank you. ☺

Green or white tea with dried rosebuds &/or chrysanthemum.

Make the tea weak, it's nt supposed to be drunk like builders' tea, & drink it warm.

in reply to BadHare

Ok thank-you ☺

Adding a slice of lemon increases the health benefits of green & white tea, by increasing the absorption of catechins.

Avoid tea bags, for a better taste of any tea!

There are also different matcha teas available. This is a fine powder that needs whisking, though vigorous stirring works.

Very interesting, I know that teabags are bleached to make them look white and clean.

I will try the lemon thing it sounds good.

I am going to be busy drinking tea I think.

Thank you.

Find a tea shop that lets you smell their wares.

I rarely drink black tea, but like earl grey, & some other similar combinations. Black tea with cherry or mango are nice. Most teas are best with lemon rather than milk, for the health benefits.

Enjoy!

I love earl grey tea :)

in reply to Oleanda

I'm surprised how much I love it now, I used to hate it. Shows how much we can change as we grow older ☺

I used to only drink Earl Grey, but it got a bit pricey as I probably drink too much tea! :o I love any of the berry teas. My faves at the moment are Taylor's of Harrowgate Raspberry and Vanilla, or Blackberry and Elderflower. I'm not a fan of green tea (although I know it's really good for you!) Must be my sweet tooth as I find it very bitter :(

in reply to

I got the Earl Grey as a gift from a friend who bought it in Harrods, so it will seem less expensive when I buy the cheaper brands. :D

I find green tea to be bitter too, I'm not to fond of it but will try as somebody suggested the coconut version of it.

Raspberry and Vanilla sounds good.

Good luck with the green tea and coconut. I think I'll stick with my berries, though ;)

At this rate I'll be swimming in tea 😀

Hibiscus tea is very good too.

in reply to fan2queen

What does it taste like?

Hibiscus ha ha. It reminds me of Egypt as it's what they give tourists to lure us into their shops. Light and not too sweet. It makes a lovely summer drink

in reply to WannaCLessOfMe

Duh! Silly me I'll just have to give it a go 😀

jimtom, it is like the black tea but with more tannin in it. I like this flavor a lot.

I'm sorry, I have tried all sorts of teas but I still come back to my trusted and tried English breakfast tea and the basic black tea.

I think some of the fruit teas are tolerable but my taste buds, when expecting tea only really welcome a good old cuppa 😜

As for Earl Grey it's like drinking perfume 🤢

Perhaps the fruit ones would be more acceptable to my palate if they were not misnomered Tea when they clearly aren't

Enjoy your quest x

in reply to Annde70

I like normal tea best too but I'll give the others a go.
