I am a recovering bulimic, been free now for 5 months, I was bulimic for 35 years, a very long time, I wish to eat healthy as I've always had problems with my weight, I just get a little lost by it all at times

Hi all new to this so unsure what feedback I will get
All I can say from someone that has been through it myself and fight with it every day and people don't even know. Take one day at a time and if you feel low or feel like you are going to go backwards find a picture of something or someone that means something to you and say I am doing this for me not you . I have to, I need to be healthy my body needs to be healthy , then I can be healthy for you!!!! Keep smiling don't think you are alone, you ain't there are so many people out there with this, it is so hard to stop, it doesn't happen overnight , you are going to have days where you feel like crap, just don't let them win. I was told to use a hair band on my wrist and when I have the feeling to do something pull the band then let it go and it should take your mind off it. Give it a go let me know how you get on. Good luck!!! 😊💐
I haven't had to battle with an eating disorder ( except for eating too much!) I think you are so brave, 35 years of bulimia will have had an enormous effect, but 5 months of freedom is amazing! You should be very proud. Your relationship with food has obviously been difficult, but it is incredible that you have made such an enormous decision and change.
This forum is amazing! It's completely unjudgemental and very supportive. Good luck on your journey, be proud of yourself and share everything and anything you need too.
Everyone is a friend you haven't yet met and will help wherever possible 😘
Well done x x and good luck for the future x x
