Hi! I'm new, and I'm hoping to lose A LOT of weight through the NHS 12 week plan. I've already seen some things, but what are your tips for sticking to it and not losing motivation? I've been looking for something like this for a while, so it's great to finally find a healthy program, despite how daunting it sounds to be part of it for 12 weeks (!)

Thanks!

Find a way of eating that suits you, generous and enough treats, then focus on enjoying the journey, keep positive, enjoy improving health and fitness rather than dwelling on things you can't eat 😊

It has to be a permanent way of living or else we return to where we were 😕

Come on here regularly, read and contribute if you feel comfortable 😊 Great diversion when the munchies strike!! Lol 😊

Hello! What really helped me to stick to a new healthy diet, 5 years ago, was to go to whole food cooking classes. A whole food-based diet is much more satisfying (less refined = more filling) and helps with cleansing (obviously you need to use certain cooking styles like boiling, stir-frying more than deep-frying).

The diet and lifestyle I have found most helpful has been the Macrobiotic diet, because it has a big picture of health.

Maybe you can find some classes in your area on the website of the Macrobiotic Association of Great Britain:

Good luck!
