Am I doing it right?

After a 'slip up' regarding my healthy eating I've decided to get back into healthy habits. I have downloaded myfitnesspal and as of yesterday I have been plugging in my food. After hitting enter I realised that my calorie intake was only 980 however I felt satisfied all day.

In an attempt to up the calories I added a few (healthy) snacks throughout the day today. In the evening I had sweet potato with 2 low fat sausages handful of veggies. I only managed half of it as it was getting late and I was feeling full. As I have struggled with not eating enough just month earlier (resulting in weight gain) I am worried that the low calories will set me back again...?
