1. Eat only when you are Hungry: Feeling hungry is the signal from Body to you that its ready with hydro chloride acid in stomach, you pls start eating now. But we typically eat by timings. For example, if we are working, Okay 1 pm, all friends/colleagues going for lunch, so I will also go like that. Don’t Do That!
2. Don’t Drink Water 1 hr. before & after and during the Eating time: Water dilutes the hydro chloride acid secreted in your stomach. That acid is for digest your food, but drinking water will dilute that.
3. Chew the Food 25 times: Any food you take, chew it for minimum 25 times [if more, that’s good]. The more we chew the less work for the stomach to digest. Many people drink water or soda after food because they feel thirsty. That thirsty comes because we swallow food just after 1 or 2 chew. If you chew 25 times and when it’s liquid inside your mouth itself and swallow, you never feel thirsty after eating food.
4. Finish Last meal of the day on or before 7 pm.
5. WHEN TO STOP: Many of us never knew when to stop the eating food. We always eat 100% full stomach which is very bad habit. One of the world’s oldest people Japanese Jiroemon Kimura said, never eat full stomach, and always eat only 80%. Okay now issue is when to stop. The best technic is BURP. Many of us [incl me] never get Burp when i finish food or during eating. Before I start doing the above steps, I never get any Burp. After i started follow these steps i get Burp every time I eat food. The moment you get Burp it’s a signal that you should stop eating. Like Hungry is a signal for start eating, Burp is a signal for stop eating.
6. And of cuz you need to do any kind of exercise for 30 mins a day, simple walking also enough.

This what thing told in Ayurveda 1000 yrs before, we moved to wrong direct years before. Of cuz many get burp after eating 120% of their capacity. I will help you to try one time. Suppose if you take Dosa or Chappati for say dinner, say ur typical level is 5 Chappatis...one time you eat slowly without watching any TV and dont talk with others...mouth should be closed while chewing...and chew 25 times each bite..initially difficult..when you do..u will sure get a burp before you finish 5th chappati.... another page one person asked how can follow non-time bases eating in metro life..etc.and i replied him this way...u can see if its helpful or not:
Even in City/Metro life, its all in your hands how to adjust that otherwise you can conveniently eat medicines initially for Type 1 and eat life long.
When you aware of a way and then should think how to achieve instead of thinking reasons for escapism then obviously you have to pay fees to pharmaceuticals and Drs.
You can attach each issues and find solutions:
1. people get hungry within 1 or 2 hrs from wake up. If you need to catch 8 am bus to reach 9 am office, naturally you should wake up at 6 am and shouldnt drink coffee or tea. So obviously you get good hungry at 7.30 and eat bf. But if you want to wake up at 7 and drink coffee and then after 1 hr gap again break fast without hungry, then its upto you.
2. If you dont eat any snacks or tea / coffee and just only water, you will naturally get hungry in lunch time and should eat that. If cant go out, better carry tiffen box and eat at desk.
3. Buddhist tradition to not to eat food after sun set. But if you start late at office say 7 pm, may be you can plan to eat dinner at office itself or have small snacks at evening and eat dinner immediately after reach home and dont sleep immediately and give gap of 2 hrs to sleep.
I also live in metro and slowly changed food habits. The above are some ways not ONLY WAYS. so you can plan ur ways according to your nature of work and life. bz at the end health is wealth.
