Hey so i'm not sure what I should be snacking on throughout the day, or even if I should be snacking at all? I normally snack on fruit but the sugars are high so I'm thinking that maybe that's causing me to lose weight slower? and I don't really like nuts to snack on them? Something simple that I can just buy from the store?
Snacking?: Hey so i'm not sure what I should... - Healthy Eating
Snacking?
Healthy snacks would be high-alkaline foods like
broccoli, spinach, cucumbers (not in a salad)
search up "high alkaline foods" they help your body in hundreds of ways.
good luck
To add to BigLeg: she is right; if you are eating the way you should, snacking urges slow down a lot. But to get to that point, you have to get over any fat phobia you might have. We've been fed a line for years that fat is evil, but recently "they" have decided that saturated fats are a good thing, cholesterol is a good thing, and fats don't make you fat, carbs do. And it's carbs that cause the insulin response, making your glucose levels rise, then fall, and triggering the hunger. And I am working on assimilating this with the whole pH/alkaline thing. Alkaline vegs are indeed a good thing, but as far as I'm concerned, you still need fat to make you feel satisfied.
Snacking is healthy, mdon't believe what others are saying a portion about 10 almonds will give you protein and help you feel full for longer, eat protein rich foods at meal times
to cut the craving for sweet eat sauerkraut it is rich in probiotics, (make sure it is not processes/cooked), this will help your gut flora and help you eliminate the yeasts and bad bacteria in your gut. Green smoothies will fill you up for hours (youtube has lots of recipes), you need probiotics, minerals (greens) and glutenfree, unprocessed diet to get the weight down...i lost 100 pounds. good luck
