I have always thought that walking is such a good activity and has great all round health benefits for body, mind, weight loss, heart health, diabetes, boosting energy etc to mention just a few. Itβs much easier on the joints than jogging or running and for me is more sustainable long term and you can go at your own pace.
Just 30 minutes a day could make all the difference and itβs a cheap activity that doesnβt involve a financial outlay, membership or equipment. Walking ticks all of my boxes ππΆββοΈπ
The photo is Kirkstone pass from my walking holiday in Cumbria in November last year.

Wonderful photo Ali, it's just so beautiful there.
A very good article but I wouldnβt recommend no19 π€ΈββοΈ...π...π...and think a risk assessment is needed here...π
Great post with some interesting benefits of walking.
It is beautiful isnβt it. I feel relaxed just thinking about being there. Next time I can get away for a walking holiday I think we will go to Derbyshire. Have you been there?
Hi Ali, I can highly recommend Derbyshire, particularly Longnor Wood Holiday Park, we stayed there last September and are going back in May. The site is literally right in the middle of the countryside and 6 miles from Buxton,we bought our groceries in Buxton.
You can book through the site direct, no need to involve holiday companies.
