Today we have a yellow weather warning for torrential rain and hazardous driving conditions and the rain hasn't been that heavy so when the sun came out I nipped out to my local shop but fortunately wore my light weight breathable rain coat in case, as I left the shop the heavens opened and my jeans were soaked before I got from the shop to the path but I think there is a real beauty to days like this in a bleak sort of way.
The best bit is I can get changed as soon as I'm home and my walking boots are very comfortable and waterproof which's what its all about having the right clothes. I learnt this cycling as you have too dress appropriately or you can get very hot or cold and very quickly on a bike. Fortunately for me my son was also a keen cyclist who entered events and he walked the Camino Santiago one summer, so I've had a lot of advice on having the right outdoor clothes for our chosen activity.
I like the rain and being out in the rain sometimes as its very refreshing and I don't have to water the garden.
Its up to us to make the most of the weather and our environment and its still a very beautiful world out there because of the weather.

Here's my neighbours the rain is easing off now I'm almost home but you can see it sweeping up the forest valley.
I don't mind rain unless is torrential and a danger to life with flooding houses, farms and business! I have walking trousers and walking boots but my boots are q bit heavy on my feet now, prefer light shoes! Just easier to walk for me! Love your photos here Jerry πβ€οΈ
Hey thanks I have some walking boots boots that are so good Iβm on my second pair. Theyβre made by a famous Jean maker and very hard wearing real country ware. ππ
